Here at Premier Windows, we often get asked questions, particularly about windows, our speciality. In order to share some of these questions, we wanted to put together this post about our most frequently asked questions. Here, you can find all of the answers to the most common questions without having to wait for one of our team to come back to you. Of course, we understand you may have other questions, but it’s certainly a start and if you do still need the help of our team, then we would be more than happy to talk to you in greater detail.
What Style of Window is the Right for me?
This is a question that we often get asked when people are looking to replace their windows. Style is everything when it comes to windows and the right choice will transform the exterior of your home, boosting your curbside appeal and the value of your property. There are two main styles that we offer here at Premier Windows; the sash and the casement. Both have their benefits and both of their drawbacks, depending on what it is you like and what you need. It’s important to remember that mobility can have a big impact on the style of window that you choose, so take the time to consider your needs and pick the one that will work best for that.
When is the Right Time of Year to Install New Windows?
The reality is we can effectively replace your windows at any time of the year, although it will probably take a little longer in the winter. If you can arrange to have your windows replaced in the summer, then you might prefer that because it will keep out unwanted cold draughts during the project. But sometimes there isn’t much choice in the matter, so rest assured that we can install new windows in the winter; there is no need for you to hold off on replacing faulty windows simply because of the season.
How do I Prepare my Property for Window Replacement?
We will be able to take measures to protect your home and clean up any mess afterwards. But if you’re preparing for our team of installers to visit, then there are just a couple of things that you can do to make our lives easier. First of all we would suggest that you disconnect any alarm systems that you might have attached to your windows.
We would also recommend removing any windows, decorations, wall hangings or anything else in the window area that could be damaged during installation. Finally, you might want to protect your furniture by moving it away from the windows and covering it with sheets and blankets. Our team is experienced enough to take care during the installation process.
What Should I Do with My Old Windows?
Our team can remove your windows for you. This means that you don’t even have to think about where they’re going. Instead, we will dispose of them quickly and safely, according to the legal guidelines. If you want to deal with them yourself, however, then we would recommend sending them to a deconstruction service, who will be able to use every aspect of the windows for various projects.
If you have more questions that you’d like to ask our team regarding any of our products or services we provide, then please do get in touch with us today by giving us a call on 020 8683 4446. We look forward to hearing from you.
